“This was my first time going to a functional medicine doctor but I knew I wanted a holistic approach to my stomach issues rather than see a doctor in a clinical setting and likely be put on some sort of drug.
I had a lot of anxiety around my stomach issues and how it was impacting my daily life and quality of life.
I was super impressed with Dr. Kassie and all of the questions and insight she gathered about me and my issues. After she put me on an apple cider vinegar challenge and got blood work done, I started seeing improvements immediately. And after her recommendations and supplements, I haven’t had a stomachache since.
I think the biggest thing that blew me away was that she emailed me multiple times with info regarding what we talked about and to check in to see how I was doing. I have never had a doctor or someone with a medical background email me to check in. It honestly blew me away and I got teary eyed about it. The whole time I felt heard and supported while working to figure out what was going on in my gut.”
Michelle McKusick, LMT, CECP, Advanced Bodywork Specialist
Michelle graduated from CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu Therapy School and Clinic massage therapy program with a determination to help others. While there, she had the privilege of massaging the Minnesota Gopher Football Team and runners from the Twin Cities Marathon.
Massage has always been in Michelle’s blood, but it wasn’t until after two accidents, five years apart from each other, that Michelle opened her heart to God’s calling to be a massage therapist.
Michelle grew up in rural Minnesota which she attributes to priming her to appreciate the simple, wholesome ways in life and to see the beauty in things it may be easy for one to overlook. Michelle enjoys vegetable and heirloom gardening, (and the nutritional mood and energy boosting benefits it provides!) and feels closer to God by witnessing the miracle of a seed growing into a plant and then producing a harvest.
Michelle also volunteers with Rake the Town through Faith in Action, Second Harvest Heartland food distribution, Monticello Clothing Center, the Twin Cities Marathon, and within her church. She is married to John with two grown children; Stuart and Milissa. More about Michelle.

“Before working with Elizabeth, I had never heard of a health coach. From the first time we met, I was completely amazed at how helpful it was working with her! It was so helpful to set aside time from my busy day and stop and prioritize working towards my health goals. It was so helpful being able to talk through these goals with Elizabeth and having her help processing through them and set up goals to achieve them. I had been desiring change but was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin.
Working with Elizabeth gave me practical steps that were customized specifically to me. I am amazed and thankful for all of the progress I have been able to make. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with Elizabeth and to have her help, guidance and support along the way!”
