Get to Know Valeo: Michelle McKusick, CMT

When and why did you decide to pursue massage?

It was while I was receiving a massage due to a car accident. I just thought, “I could do this.” I can come alongside people on their healing journey, and be that hope in their lives when they are hurting.

What drew you to working at Valeo?

Hands down it was the biblical scripture on the employment ad!

What is the most memorable moment of your job?

In general, I get a front row seat watching God work in people’s lives. So many healing miracles happen because God is always present.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Gardening (vegetables and flowers), playing with the grandkids, reading, or learning about wildlife. I enjoy touring old homes, mansions, museums, and learning about history and art.

If you could choose to be doing anything for work (other than working at Valeo) for a day, what would you do?

I’d work at a zoo (just not with anything that slithers, crawls, or creeps!).

What others say about her

In their own words, Michelle’s coworkers describe her as compassionate, tender, gentle, and thoughtful.
