A Holistic Experience

Rebecca and her daughter Hope

Rebecca is not new to taking a natural approach to health. After all, Valeo isn’t her first experience with chiropractic, which tends to be a field that prioritizes supporting the body in natural ways.

“I had been to a different chiropractor in the past, but when my schedule changed, the hours there didn’t work well for me,” she shares. “My coworkers had been talking about Valeo, so after signing up for the newsletter and seeing a promotion happening, I figured it was time to check it out.”

That’s when Rebecca started seeing Dr. Jon to address pain in her neck and back. Her first visit opened her eyes to the whole-person approach that Valeo takes with patients.

“The care at Valeo was a lot more holistic than my previous provider. The new patient paperwork makes it clear that they are interested in many components of health, even spiritual health,” she says.

Valeo’s thorough approach doesn’t stop with intake paperwork, but extends to provided care, too.

Thorough Care

When it comes to chiropractic, we know that adjustments can be effective by themselves, but can be more effective when combined with work outside of our office.

“I loved that Dr. Jon gave me instructions on stretches I should be doing at home to help improve my posture… at the other clinic I went to, I was going in every two weeks and just being told to keep coming back,” explains Rebecca. “At Valeo, thanks to the instructions on what I can be doing at home, I am able to come in less frequently. It’s great that the doctors at Valeo really focus on helping you work toward a healthier lifestyle.”

Another thing that sets Valeo apart from other chiropractic clinics is the variety of techniques and tools the practitioners use to help make care comfortable and maximally effective for each patient. In Rebecca’s case, they found that electrical stimulation is sometimes needed to ease her tight muscles.

“I feel like the care I’ve gotten from Dr. Jon has been very thorough and effective. I even saw him throughout my pregnancy which was so helpful. Multiple people, including my Obstetrician, family, and friends, told me that I was moving around so well at the end of my pregnancy! And although it wasn’t planned, we even moved into a new house on my due date,” laughs Rebecca. “The doctors kept asking if I wanted to be induced, but I kept saying no… I felt really good! And when I did go into labor, it went pretty quick. I actually had gotten adjusted by Dr. Jon that evening, and contractions started maybe four or five hours later. Start to finish, it was less than twelve hours, which I’ve heard is great for a first-time labor!”

Personable Personality

One of the things that patients tell us they love about Valeo is the demeanor and personality of not just the doctors, but the entire staff. We hear again and again that they are nice and easy to talk to, and that it is an important part of each patient’s visit.

“Dr. Jon is super caring and compassionate,” Rebecca shares. “You can tell from how he treats you that he really wants people to feel better and live a pain-free life. And I love the spiritual aspect of his care, getting prayed over every time… I feel like it’s a big component to healing the body.”
