Every time I make chicken wings for guests, people say, “these are the best wings I’ve ever had!” They ask me what recipe I use, or what my secret is.
I think this is pretty funny, because I don’t do anything too special. No crazy seasonings. I just use salt.
My method couldn’t be easier:
- Place chicken wing on grill, searing one side.
- Flip, add salt to seared side while opposite side sears
- Flip gain, adding salt to second side
- Grill until chicken is cooked through
One thing I think might contribute to these being the “best wings ever” is the type of salt I use. It’s the Premier Pink Salt from Premier Research Labs. We started carrying this in our office some years ago, and pretty much everyone in our office has converted to using it as their go-to salt at home. It seems more flavorful than regular salt, and we love it because it’s higher quality than what you’ll find in most stores, too. You can read more about that over on this post.
