Keep Moving in October

As days get shorter and temperatures begin to fall, it’s easy to lose motivation to keep moving. We want to encourage you to stay active this month with our ‘Walktober’ challenge!

Join us in walking 100 miles (200,000 steps) or accumulating 2,000 minutes of exercise in October. You can receive $20 in Valeo Bucks simply by participating plus be entered to win $100 to Scheels for completing the challenge.

You might think, ‘200,000 Steps?!’… that’s overwhelming!

Let’s break it down. 200,000 steps over the course of the month means about 6,500 steps (approximately 3.25 miles) per day. Being intentional about taking a 40 minute walk (or even two 20 minute walks) at a brisk pace can typically get you 2.25-2.75 miles, leaving just 0.5-1.0 miles left to accumulate throughout your day.

*We recognize not everyone enjoys walking, so you can also accumulate 2,000 minutes of exercise in October to be eligible.
