Chemical Toxins in Masks

Over the last several months, as I tested my patients using functional toxicology testing, I noticed benzene, formaldehyde, and other hydrocarbons showing up much more frequently than previous to COVID-19. Until last month, I had not put two and two together and could not figure out why those chemicals were accumulating in so many of my patients. We would put detoxification protocols together to help the patient get rid of these chemicals, only to find that the chemicals showed up over and over again.

Well, in early October I attended a seminar and one of the first things the presenter shared with us was that he had found benzene in the surgical masks. “Aha! Now I know where the benzene is coming from!” I said.

For example, a 40-something-year-old female presented with unrelenting muscle pain that was most prevalent in her legs. Benzene showed up upon testing and we began detoxifying the chemical. She reported feeling much better after the detox protocol, but a few weeks later she was back with the same set of symptoms.

This was puzzling to me … unless she was being re-exposed to the same toxin over and over? At first we thought it was due to exposure to a faulty air conditioner, and eventually we thought it was related to a soft drink she was consuming. Finally, we were able to determine that the mask she was wearing had hidden benzene that was continually re-contaminating her body.

So, while it is crucial to detoxify the chemical toxins out of the body, it is perhaps even more important to remove the source of contamination. Otherwise, the patient will be continually re-exposed to the toxin, and it will be more and more difficult to help them get their health back.

My recommendation is, when a mask is required, to wear one made of fabric.
