The Cholesterol Myth

Tanya-and-Family21-300x167Is cholesterol the cause of heart disease? No!

Can elevated levels be a sign of something wrong? Absolutely. Many times it can be a sign of artery damage caused by inflammation. The cholesterol is there to help heal.

This is why artificially lowering cholesterol with medications isn’t ideal: it doesn’t actually solve the cause of heart disease. Instead, we need to focus on lowering it naturally through diet and lifestyle, in a way that is sustainable.

Tanya, one of the wonderful women who used to work Valeo’s front desk, went through the Repairvite program that Dr. Lindsey prescribed for her. Her cholesterol went from around 240 down into the 170s. The great thing is that it wasn’t artificially lowered through medication which does not reduce the risk of heart disease but it was lowered through nutrition that does not cause inflammation.
